Our interactive plant tools store your entries on your own device. Here’s what that means.
Indoor Plants Home offers free interactive tools, including the Plant Match Quiz, Watering Calculator, Light Calculator, Soil Mix Generator, Pet-Safe Plant Finder, Plant Shelf Visualizer and Plant Care Tracker.
Your entries stay in your browser
- Tools run in your web browser.
- Information you enter — such as plant names, watering dates and quiz answers — is saved in your browser’s local storage on your device so the tools can remember it.
- This information is not sent to our server and we can’t see it.
- No account is required.
Things to know
- Your saved data is tied to the browser and device you used. It won’t sync to other devices.
- Clearing your browser’s site data, or using a private window, will remove it.
- Anyone with access to your device and browser could see saved entries.
- Standard website analytics (see our Privacy Policy) may record that a tool page was visited, but not what you typed into the tool.
